My sweet grandad🩵
For as long as I have ever known, it’s always been you that I call grandad, it’s always been you that used to sing to me and make me laugh. You’re not only my grandad, but my father figure too. From being young and you pulling me around on the upside down foot stool singing “I am sailing” to now having my own child and you singing the same song with him. You taught me what true love is supposed to entail, the caring and kind nature, the many years you spent together and the way you took my family on as your own was a perfect reflection of what real love looks like🩵 I will always be so grateful to have had you as a grandad, to have been able to experience your beautiful and soft personality, for every bacon and egg double decker sandwich that you ever made me, for every song that I know because of you, forever cartoon you copied, I am eternally grateful. I love you and will miss you forever, until it’s my turn to be sailing to be with you again Captain. Thank you for everything, if I could choose you as a grandad all over again, I would🩵

We made some wonderful memories together Captain, from the age of 17 when as a group of friends we decided to drive up north.

We settled on Huddersfield after the long drive from London via Liverpool and although only you and I stayed in Huddersfield, we made a new group and the good times started.

We shared most things; We all got jobs together and when one left, we all left. We shared beds in a shared room, we shared food, we shared laughs and good times, but we didn't share the cooking. The youngest should cook you said "Fread, go to the shop to buy the flour", "Fread, go boil water and cook the dumplings".

There was no island divide with us. We were all brothers.

Life led us all down different paths and we all had families of our own, but my happiest early memories Captain always include you. A good friend, a good man, you will be missed.

Sleep well Cap until we meet again.

To My Beautiful Dad,

I want the whole world to know what a great man you are, You were always so happy & loving to everyone you met, always barking at strangers in the street! 😂

I have been truly blessed & privileged to have been given 49 years to Love you. ❤️

It hurts my heart 💔 too much to even think about saying goodbye to you dad... so I won't say it, because then I know one day I will get to hug you & kiss your shiny face 💙

You are the chosen one dad - God only takes the special ones to be Angels! 😇 ✨️

Forever sailing...
Forever Singing🎵🎶
Forever Loved 💙

Forever Missed by your Daughter Rachel & son inlaw Richard. 😢 xx

'Tatty bye dad, I Love you too' 💙
